Voluntary ex-ante transparency notice: Standby ambulance and patient transport services for Bergen Hospital Trust

We hereby announce that the Norwegian Hospital Procurement Trust, on behalf of Bergen Hospital Trust, intends to enter into a contract with Røde Kors Ambulansen Bergen for services for the Emergency Medicine Department. The contract is for the standby ambulance services, which mainly involves the supplier providing an ambulance and trained personnel on duty at AMK for patient transport assignments. Lot 1: According to the PPR § 13-4 first section, letter b, number 2, the procurement can be made without a contest if 'competition is impossible for technical reasons'. Patients who are transported by the ambulance must lie down during the journey, which means that investments are required in vehicles and equipment in order to provide such a service.
