NHS notices in this set span clinical work such as diagnostics, elective care, pharmacy and pathology, alongside the non-clinical side of running a trust: estates and facilities management, IT and digital platforms, workforce and specialist recruitment, and patient transport. Buyers range from a single acute trust running one contract to arm's length bodies like NHS Business Services Authority procuring on behalf of the wider service.

There is no single NHS approved supplier list. Suppliers get in by winning a place on a national or regional framework agreement, or by winning an individual trust, integrated care board or arm's length body's own tender directly. Reading a buyer's own commercial strategy and forward plan before a tender opens is the way to see a re-tender coming rather than finding out once it is already live.

NHS notices in this set most often carry CPV code 85100000 (Health services), used on 245 notices, and 85000000 (Health and social work services), used on 220. Hospital-specific work carries 85111000 (Hospital services), used on 9. None of these codes are applied as a filter on this page, because plenty of on-intent NHS notices carry no CPV code at all or a neighbouring one, so filtering on codes would hide genuine NHS tenders rather than surface them.
