Set up

Get connected in minutes

Claude and ChatGPT take the server URL and your Stotles login. For Copilot, Gemini Enterprise and other tools that don't support CIMD, generate a client ID and secret in Stotles in a couple of minutes.

  1. An Owner of your Claude workspace adds Stotles once, for everyone: Settings, then Connectors, then Organization connectors, then Add custom connector. Owner is a role in Claude, not in Stotles.

  2. Name it Stotles and paste the server URL.

  3. Everyone else turns it on from their own Connectors settings and signs in with their own Stotles account.

  4. Start a chat and ask about a buyer, a tender or a framework. Claude picks the tool.

Questions before you connect

  • What is MCP?

    The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot call outside services. Stotles runs an MCP server, so once connected your AI tool can search Stotles data as part of answering your question.

  • Do I need a Stotles account?

    Yes. The MCP server uses your existing Stotles login, and it sees the same data you would in the app. Everyone who wants to use it needs their own paid Stotles account.

  • Can we control what our AI tool can do in Stotles?

    Yes, in your AI platform rather than in Stotles. Most business and enterprise plans let an admin choose which Stotles tools the assistant can use, so you can allow reads and block writes.

  • Can we roll this out to the whole team?

    Yes. An admin on your AI platform adds the Stotles connector once for the organisation, then each person connects it with their own Stotles login. Everyone sees exactly the data they'd see in the app and nothing more, so you don't need to manage permissions in two places.

  • Which AI tools does it work with?

    Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Gemini Enterprise and any other tool that supports remote MCP servers. If your tool has an integrations or connectors setting that takes a URL, or a client ID and secret, it will work.

  • Where does the data come from?

    The same place the Stotles platform gets it: procurement notices, buyer documents and published spend data from public sources across the UK and Ireland, updated daily.
