Carndonagh Community School - Pre-Qualification for a Contractor for Carndonagh Community School, Carndonagh, Co. Donegal - SEAI-DES Deep Retrofit Programme 2023

Tender description

The works shall consist of energy retrofit works to school building Block 5 only, to include minor fire compartmentation upgrade works, insulated external render system, pumped cavity wall insulation, partial internal drylining works, new insulated roof coverings, new external windows and doors and air tightness works to external wall openings, electrical upgrade works to include new lighting installation, PV panels, emergency lighting, EV charging and electrical works to new heating installations, new back up gas boiler installation, new heating and distribution pipework and radiators, BMS system and controls, MVHR installation, all associated external trenching and ducting to facilitate new building services. The entire school campus and the neighboring national school, St. Patrick’s National School are to be receive a new district heating, renewable biomass heating installation. The supply and installation of the biomass installation is to be tender separately. This tender is to include for installation of base for biomass plant, trenching and ductwork between the biomass plant and the nearest school boiler room, installation of heating pipework throughout the existing school to various boiler rooms, to service all school buildings at the campus and associated works to St. Patrick’s National School. It is anticipated the Works Programme are to be completed during 2023. The works are to be completed in a phased and sequential manner to facilitate continual school operational capacity.
