Tender description

The £68.75 scheme consists of the building a rear extension and the refurbishment of the from part of the Stephenson Building. The building will become the main focal point for engineering at Newcastle University. Spaces within the building include collaborative teaching spaces, seminar rooms, meeting rooms, offices, labs and workshops. The building is five storeys with a basement level in the front of the building. The building is serviced by four lifts to each floor. One lift is a goods lift and three passenger lifts. The construction works are split into two phases. The Phase 1 rear extension will be occupied in July 2023. The Phase front refurbishment will be occupied in July 2024. The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery, installation and project management of various furniture as detailed in the attached Furniture Specification Guide within the Stephenson Building.
