UKRI-3040 BGS Keyworth NGR Fire Compartmentation Works

Tender description

UKRI wishes to establish a Contract for the provision of fire compartmentation works in the NGR building at the British Geological Survey site in Keyworth, Nottingham. The National Geological Repository (NGR) facility is located within the wider British Geological Survey headquarters site and is located on the northern half of the site. The building comprises a combination of warehouse geoscience specimen storage, associated workshops analysis laboratories and archive storage all of which form a necessary part of the process of analysing, recording, and conserving the core samples and other geoscience specimens. Lot 1: UKRI wishes to establish a Contract for the provision of fire compartmentation works in the NGR building at the British Geological Survey site in Keyworth, Nottingham. The works will include: •Installation of a full height and length 60-minute fire blanket to the wall between Nirex and Core Store on the Nirex side of the wall. •Installation of a 60-minute fire blanket over the 5nr metal cladding sections to the wall between Tray Store and Nirex on the Nirex side of wall. •Installation of a 60-minute fire blanket at roof level to fill the gaps full length of wall between Tray Store and Nirex on the Nirex side of the wall. •Installation of a full height fire blanket to the open section at the right-hand end of the wall between Tray Store and Nirex on the Nirex side of the wall, extending along the external wall at high level to cover the windows up to the Core Store wall. •Replacement of roller shutter doors. •Replacement of fire doors. •New fire rated enclosures to electrical equipment i.e., distribution boards etc. Please see the tender documents for full details of the requirement.
