Tender description

Repair and remediation works to an existing 14-span reinforced concrete bridge with a central steel bascule span. The scope of works includes: - Traffic management, including a road closure and diversion route; - Site clearance, vegetation clearance, and localised demolition; - Erection of a moveable temporary total containment system to the bridge to fully encapsulate the works; - Extensive suite of localised concrete repairs to bridge deck, deck beams, parapets, and piers (above the waterline); - Grit blasting and repainting pf central steel bascule span; - Steelwork repairs and replacement; - Lead abatement works and associated controls (central steel bascule span); - Power cleaning of concrete surfaces; - Road planning and removal of existing surfacing and base layers; - Installation of bridge deck waterproofing including surface preparation; - Renewal of bridge expansion joints; - New road surfacing; - New surface water drainage network and petrol interceptors; - Masonry repairs and repointing; - Approach RC retaining wall construction; - Utilities; - Ancillary works associated with bridge rehabilitation.
