Tender description

The current MSVCC contract was awarded in 2020 and supports the victims of modern slavery and human trafficking, and is due to expire in the summer 2025. The current contract does have the option to extend for a further 3 year period until 2028, no firm decision has been reached on whether or not we will be enacting this extension or re-procuring the service and this event therefore is purely exploratory and does not commit the Home Office to a re-procurement exercise. The service is essential for meeting the Government's legal and international obligations to support victims under the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking of Human Beings (ECAT) (2005) and the Directive 2011/36/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union of 5 April 2011. It forms part of the Government's National Referral Mechanism (NRM), which is the UK's system for identifying and supporting modern slavery victims. The current service offers support to victims, including the provision of accommodation, translation, financial subsistence, transport and support based on the Service Users' needs.
