Tender description

• The removal of asbestos cement roof slates, felt and battens in four phases in accordance with the drawings. • The re-roofing of the building with the proposed standing seam insulated 147mm core thickness roof panel including the installation of a aluminium gutter systems at eaves level, and associated modifications at the eaves and verges in accordance with the drawings and specifications. • The removal and replacement of the existing polycarbonate Roof on the eastern link corridor at second floor level, the removal of the polycarbonate roof of the lobby at ground floor level and the removal of the curved polycarbonate roof panels in the escape stairwell on the northern elevation of the Council Chambers. • The removal and replacement of three number existing Air Opening Vents in accordance with the drawings and specification. • The removal and replacement of ten number existing Velux windows (or equivalent approved) in accordance with the drawings and specifications. • The removal of the existing asphalt covering to the flat roof of the Eastern/Western Toilet block in the area where the pitched roof and the flat roof intersect. The construction of a new 150mm upstand at the intersection of the pitched and flat roof and the reinstatement of the asphalt roof to include wrap over on the upstand and the installation and weathering of the insulated standing seam roof panel. • Demolition and disposal off site of the RC Bund including walls, foundation and associated services in accordance with the drawings. • The removal of the existing kerbs surrounding the bund and formation of joint between existing asphalt surface and proposed concrete yard. • The relocation of an existing light pole, the installation of new kerbline and footpath in accordance with the drawings. • The installation of a new concrete yard including a minimum of 225mm of hardcore in accordance with the drawings.
