ESB Diversion Enabling Works for Proposed Kolbe Special School, Block Road, Portlaoise, Co. Laois

Tender description

The enabling works shall consist of diversions of existing of ESB 38 kV and 10 kV overhead lines to allow construction of the new Kolbe school. Both 38 kV and 10 kV shall generally be diverted to the perimeter of the site as agreed with ESB. Overhead lines shall be diverted to below ground within ducts and trenches in accordance with ESB Specification. The 38 kV lines shall be diverted from the North of the site. Joint bays shall be constructed in the approximate location of the existing poles on the site. Services shall be diverted across the N80 (Stadbally Rd) to the South of the site and join the existing poles on the corner of the N80 (Stradbally Rd). The 10 kV lines shall be diverted from Northern boundary of the site and shall include the construction of 1 No. Unit Substation and 1 No. Kiosk. Services shall be diverted underground and a new joint bay constructed in the approximate location of the poles to the south boundary. Services shall also be diverted underground where overhead lines crossing from the Northern boundary to the adjacent property to the West. All surfaces shall be reinstated in accordance with ESB and Local Authority Specifications.
