Tender description

• Laying of approximately 2,860m2 of AC10 wearing course and 240m2 SMA to spine road including bond coat and, at certain locations, regulating, cold milling and/or planning of the existing basecourse. • Raising or lowering of existing ironwork to facilitate the wearing course. • Repair of approximately 20m2 of existing wearing course to include resetting of existing gully cover and installation of additional gully pot and cover. • Remove and replace 1 no pair of speed cushions within new wearing course area and provide additional 4 no. pairs of speed cushions. • Break out and replace approximately 320m2 of concrete footpath at various locations. • Break out and replace approximately 30m of kerbing. • Supply and install approximately 110m of “French drain” consisting of 150mm diameter twin wall perforated pipe located in grassy verge, to be connected to existing storm network via 2 no. new manholes located in road verge and connector pipes laid under the existing road. Manholes to be constructed from precast concrete rings (minimum internal diameter 900mm) to include 150mm deep base, cover slab and EN B125 cover and frame. Allow for 3 no. inspection/maintenance manholes to same specification at start of each French drain section. • Supply and installation of additional road gullies (approximately 4 no.). • Extensive repairs to the foul and storm network to include open cut and/or in-pipe repair methods (the preferred option). Note that CCTV of the repairs shall be completed to ensure repairs are to the Clients satisfaction. Softcopy and hardcopy of the report and videos shall be required. • Demolish and rebuild 2 no. storm manholes – max depth 1.5m. • Repairs to storm and foul manhole to include new covers, cleaning out, rebenching, new steps, sealing against water infiltration etc. • Installation of watermain marker posts and plates. • Demolish and rebuild to correct depth excessively deep sluice valve / hydrant (approx. 4 no.).
