Energy Upgrade Works

Tender description

The proposed works are to include a fabric upgrade to the external envelope of the building. The upgrade of external windows, doors (separate sub-contract) & roof lights apart from the windows which were replaced in 2011, combined with air tightness upgrading around all openings to be provided. upgrade of all flat and pitched roof areas. All penetrations and other sources of concern outlined in the Air Tightness testing report will be addressed. The provision of a renewable heating system to provide options of 100%, 90% &70% of the annual space heating demand to be provided from an air to water source heat pump. MVHR to be fitted in agreed classrooms and a new BMS System to be installed at the school. The upgrade will also include the provision of Photovoltaic Panels as outlined within the M&E works.
