Tender description

Roof refurbishment at Bridgend Stores, Princess of Wales Hospital.The building is a steel framed industrial type storage building with an approximate eavesheight of between 6 and 7m. The roof is pitched at 10 degrees and comprises two areasperpendicular to each other, separated by a valley gutter. Two vertical gables are present.The proposed works include:• Scaffold edge protection and work platform to building perimeter;• Removal of external layer of profiled steel cladding panels from the roof covering;• Removal of existing quilt insulation;• Installation of new profiled roof cladding panels;• Installation of new quilt insulation;• Installation of new valley gutter;• Lining of existing gutters with Plygene material; and• Formation of flashings to perimeter of smoke vents
