Tender description

The project comprises completion works to the replacement of the existing school consisting of a listed 1900 Building and a number of prefabricated buildings all on the same site and the construction of a new three-storey building. The Completion Works shall comprise the following items as a general non exhaustive schedule: - Completion works to the existing school including inter alia all services (any existing services are to be removed), joinery, fittings and finishes and construction including substructure of the external store. - Providing electrical power to already installed items in the envelope including the high level vents, automatic doors and external door electro magnets – this work to include commissioning by Novus Windows the original installers. The automatic doors and magnetic locks are to be linked to the fire alarm. - Completion of all underground services including drainage (foul and surface water), water supply and ring main with hydrants (including the connection at Sallins Road in association with Irish Water passing through the church carpark and under the Castlesize Stream at the east side of the site), completing the natural gas connection to the boiler room (the supply pipe is already laid to within the site), the internet connection from within the McAuley Place site. - Correcting the non compliant fire stairs (Stairs 1, 2 and 3) - Installing opes in the roof for boiler flue exits as well as SVPs. The work to the roof should be carried out by the contractor who installed the roof to maintain the warranties. - Supply and install a lift to the lift shaft as built. - Carrying out civil works to the south of the 1900 Building, which is a protected structure. - Redistribution of topsoil stored adjacent to the site huts onto the school site. - Provision of new hardcourts and artificial pitches - External works to carpark and boundary fences
