Tender description

An Scoi Chroi Iosa are seeking expressions of interest from specialist building contractors for renovation and improvement works to the existing school building at Newcastle Road, Galway to comply with Fire Safety requirements. The works include for the removal and replacement of cross-corridor fire doors, installation of additional cross-corridor doors, provision of new emergency escape route, the formation of opes and construction of steps and ramps to comply with Building Regulations including all associated building and electrical requirements for hold-open devices. Brochures should not be submitted with the expression of interest. Tenderers are required to read the DoES Suitability Declaration for Small Works to ensure they meet the minimum standards therein. Tenderers who do not meet those requirements should not submit a tender as they will be excluded at award stage. All Tenderers are liable for their costs of tendering. It is intended that a maximum of five contractors will be shortlisted for tender purposes. Interested parties should submit their expression of interest to include: - Resume of similar projects completed in the past seven years - Confirmation of turnover for the past three years - Evidence of tax clearance status - Confirmation of current insurances policies - Three referees in respect of recent similar projects completed. - Health & Safety document.
