Regional Outdoor Training Centre, Castlebar for Mayo County Council Tenders are now invited from experienced main works contractors to construct a regional construction and plant skills outdoor training facility at Lisnakirka, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. The project objective is to develop an accredited facility to provide training to the public and private sector with a focus on roads reinstatement, working on roads, construction, Safety Health & Welfare, construction skills and plant training. It will include a training yard for trenching, road construction, plant training grounds and tower for telescopic handler training. The facility will be complimented with new training rooms, canteen, storage and sanitary conveniences. The site is approximately 1.5 acres and is located at Lisnakirka, Saleen, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. This tender competition will operate under ‘Open Procedures (Double Envelope)’ published on eTenders (Rft: 195420) and will incorporate a two-stage assessment process as follows: - Stage (i) Technical (envelope 01), Suitability Assessment Procedure, Main Works Contractor – Pass / Fail. - Stage (ii) Financial (envelope 02) Subject to a Tenderer being successful at stage (i), tenders shall move to be assessed in accordance with a stage (ii) competitive tender assessment i.e. the contract, if awarded, shall be awarded on the basis of the Most Economically Advantageous Tender returned (M.E.A.T).
