Technical Dialogue re Glamping Accommodation

Tender description

Waterways Ireland is currently reviewing its publications for users of Ireland’s inland waterways. Waterways Ireland would like to put in place a contract with a partner who can provide content based upon journeys on and around the waterways, which reflect primarily on the theme of Food. The content must be suitable for both print and digital publications. The content will include recommended dining experiences, artisan food producers, food shopping, etc. The journeys will focus on hubs within a 10km corridor of each of the following navigations Lower Bann Navigation, Erne System, Shannon-Erne Waterway, Shannon Navigation, Royal Canal, Grand Canal and the Barrow Navigation. Waterways Ireland also requires that the content is prepared in a format that can be utilized across all platforms including print, digital, social media, blogs, etc. Waterways Ireland is therefore conducting a technical dialogue to assess the market’s willingness to participate in a tendering process and to determine the expertise that currently exists in the marketplace in this regard. Please note that this is not a call for competition, merely an exploratory information session. Following receipt of all correspondence, Waterways Ireland reserves the right to enter into discussions with economic operators with the express aim of assessing the market and exploring the various options available. We anticipate that these discussions will take place during the week commencing 10th October 2016. It is emphasised that this is not a call for competition and that any competition which results will be advertised. Any documentation developed from the ensuing discussions will be made available at tender stage.
