The works are a mixture of reconstruction of sections of the carriageway, carriageway re-alignment, installation of gabion baskets for embankment and carriageway strengthening, replacement and installation of new lengths of filter drains along the edge of the carriageway and toe of embankments, installation of counterfort drains. culvert repairs, fencing works, and verge works on five different rural highway sites within the Whitby area of North Yorkshire: Beck Hole; Borrowby Lane; Ridge Lane; Forge Valley; and Delves Lane
