Installation of Air Source Heat Pumps with Associated works & Replacement of radiators with associated works at Grange Primary School

Tender description

Works consist of the removal and disposal of 1No existing boiler and the removal and replacement of existing radiators (including LST as indicated) throughout the building, including local pipework modifications and the installation of new tamperproof radiator TRVs suitable for a single pipe system, and the installation of new air source heat pumps to provide heating including all associated electrical, controls and mechanical works. The electrical works also include the upgrade of the existing electrical supply in order to support the new ASHP installation. The new ASHP installation shall be connected into the existing heating system and 1No existing boiler retained. The ASHP plant is sized to meet the school heating load, and shall act as a lead heat source, with the existing gas boiler providing additional capacity and back up if required. Radiator replacement works shall be carried out during the school summer holiday period. The new ASHP installation will be dependent on plant lead times and may require completing during the October half term. In all instances the school heating system must be flushed, balanced, tested and recommissioned and ready for the school heating season. Works also include the containment/removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials in the plant room as required to enable the removal and installation of new pipework, pumps and associated ancillary items for the installation of new air source heat pumps to provide heating including all associated electrical, controls and mechanical works.
