T Level Alteration and Refurbishment Works to Thornton Building (Second Floor) and Cleveleys Building (Third Floor)

This Tender Package comprises of the refurbishment and remodelling of the whole of the Thornton Building Second Floor, and part of the Third Floor in the Cleveleys Building, at the Bispham Campus for Blackpool & The Fylde College, Ashfield Road, FY2 0HB Lot 1: DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT 1.0 Scope of Works 1.1 This Tender Package comprises of the refurbishment and remodelling of the whole of the Thornton Building Second Floor, and part of the Third Floor in the Cleveleys Building, at the Bispham Campus for Blackpool & The Fylde College, Ashfield Road, FY2 0HB. 2.0 Programme 2.1 The proposed programme dates are:- · Commencement date - Monday 28th June 2021. · Completion date - Friday 27th August 2021 2.2 All works will be undertaken in a single continuous project. 2.3 The appointed contractor is to undertake the role and duties of Principal Contractor and will be given sufficient notice between his appointment and commencement on site. 3.0 Location of the Site 3.1 The site is split into two clear areas, first located at Thornton Building Second Floor, the second part of the Third Floor in the Cleveleys Building, at the Bispham Campus for Blackpool & The Fylde College, Ashfield Road, FY2 0HB. 4.0 Proposed Use of the Building 4.1 The College site will remain in full use throughout the refurbishment works. There will be reduced staff / student presence over the 6 week school holiday period, (end of July through to August) however the College will remain fully operational. 4.2 Prior to the commencement on site, the College will arrange for all loose items of furniture and stored items to be fully cleared from the area of works. 5.0 Existing Records and Plans 5.1 All tender documents and drawings are listed on the Leeming Associates Document Issue Register. 5.2 An Asbestos Refurbishment and Demolition survey of the Scope of Works areas is included as part of the Tender Documentation. 3075 Pre-Construction Info Pack v1 Page 3 of 12 6.0 CDM Principal Designer 6.1 The Principal Designer for the project is Leeming Associates, 8-10 Preston Old, Freckleton, Preston, PR4 1PD, 01772 632556. 7.0 Project Manager 7.1 The Project Manager for the project is Leeming Associates, 8-10 Preston Old, Freckleton, Preston, PR4 1PD, 01772 632556.
