Tender description

The University of Essex is commencing this tender opportunity for the supply of different types of furniture including but not limited to office, breakout, laboratory, outdoor, reception, café/bistro and integrated secure ICT desking furniture. There will be 3 lots. Lot 1 is for a Core List of Office Furniture, Lot 2 is for Design Led Furniture Projects and Lot 3 is for Specialist Ergonomic Furniture. Estimated framework agreement value excluding VAT between 0 GBP — 8 000 000 GBP. The scope of Lot 1 includes, but is not limited to, provision of the following: — office desking and cable management, — meeting room furniture, — height adjustable desking, — pedestals, — wooden storage, — screens, — acoustic panels, — office seating. Optional: removal and disposal of any existing furniture that will be replaced by a core list item. The University of Essex has 3 locations within Essex which furniture supplies may need to be delivered to throughout the life of the proposed contract: Colchester Campus (Wivenhoe Park, Colchester CO4 3SQ), Southend Campus (Elmer Approach, Southend-on-Sea SS1 1LW) and Loughton Campus (Hatfields, Rectory Lane, Loughton IG10 3RY). The scope of Lot 2 includes, but is not limited to, provision of the following: — office desking and cable management, — lecture and seminar furniture, — conference furniture, — height adjustable desking, — pedestals, — wooden storage, — screens, — acoustic panels, — office seating and conference seating, — acoustic pods and booths, — wooden and metal storage units, — bar/restaurant furniture, — laboratory furniture, — outdoor furniture, — integrated secure ICT desking, — reception furniture, — breakout furniture, — café furniture/bistro furniture, — library furniture. Optional: removal and disposal of any existing furniture related to the project. The University of Essex has 3 locations within Essex which furniture supplies may need to be delivered to throughout the life of the proposed contract: Colchester Campus (Wivenhoe Park, Colchester, CO4 3SQ), Southend Campus (Elmer Approach, Southend-on-Sea, SS1 1LW) and Loughton Campus (Hatfields, RectoryLane, Loughton, IG10 3RY). The scope for Lot 3 Specialist Ergonomic Furniture is for the provision of any specialist ergonomic furniture including but not limited to: — height adjustable desk (sit/stand desk) manual and electric, — height adjustable platforms, — specialist ergonomic chairs, — bariatric chairs, — high stools, kneeling and saddle chairs, — floor matts, — replacement parts. Optional: removal and disposal of any existing furniture. The University of Essex has three locations within Essex which furniture supplies may need to be delivered to throughout the life of the proposed contract: Colchester Campus (Wivenhoe Park, Colchester, CO4 3SQ), Southend Campus (Elmer Approach, Southend-on-Sea, SS1 1LW) and Loughton Campus (Hatfields, RectoryLane, Loughton, IG10 3RY).
