This Periodic Indicative Notice (‘PIN’) relates to the forthcoming procurement for the design, build and maintenance of an Automated People Mover (APM). This PIN is to alert suppliers that HS2 Ltd wishes to commence pre-procurement market engagement and consultation, including seeking responses to the supplier questionnaire referred to in this PIN below. HS2 Ltd intends to procure an Automated People Mover (APM) that will transport passengers between the new HS2 Interchange Station, the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham International Railway Station and Birmingham Airport. The purpose of this PIN is to alert suppliers that HS2 Ltd wishes to commence pre-procurement market engagement and consultation, including seeking responses to the supplier questionnaire. Key elements of the proposed scope and HS2 Ltd’s current views on the procurement, contracting and packaging strategy for the APM are described in the APM Market Briefing document. The responses to the questionnaire will also inform HS2 Ltd’s procurement strategy and commercial approach.
