Tender description

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine are undertaking a pre-qualification process to assess the suitability of prospective tenderers for the main construction and dredging contract relating to the Smooth Point Pier Extension Project in Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Donegal. This project is part supported by the Irish government and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund as part of the EMFF Operational Programme for 2014-2020. Further details in relation to the proposed works to which this tender panel relates can be found in the Instructions to applications document and in the information pack provided. The works contract is to provide an additional 120 m of deep water quay at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Donegal, Ireland and entails the following works: — dredging and disposal at sea of circa 93 000 m3 of silts and gravels at a location in Donegal Bay, — the dredging of circa 16 000 m3 of rock and stockpilling within the F.H.C, — construction of new combi-wall and other associated civil engineering works, — cathodic protection, — fendering, — high mast lighting. — reinforced concrete piled relieving slab. This project is part supported by the Irish government and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund as part of the EMFF Operational Programme for 2014-2020.
