Tender description

The domestic property portfolio of the Council comprises a mixture of social housing (approximately 13 500 properties in number) and other properties. Maintenance of these properties is undertaken by the Council via a mixture of in house provision and external contractors. This tender was for planned roof upgrades to domestic properties. Dwellings will vary in age and condition and the contractor must make due allowance for this. Scope: — planned programme of roof upgrades to domestic properties (Houses and Bungalows) Structure: The Council was looking to procure a framework for roof upgrades to domestic properties which will commence 1.4.2019. The period is for 2 years with the option to extend up to a further 2 years. The Council has concluded that its requirements are best achieved by splitting the works into 2 lots with a different contractor appointed to each: — Lot 1: District 1 – North and East, — Lot 2: District 2 – South and West.
