Tender description

National Framework Agreement for Fresh Food — Tender for supply of fresh dairy, bakery, meat, poultry, fruit and vegetable products to the NHS on a national and local basis. Framework will be split into a core range and an extended range of products. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of 17 495 533 GBP in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Approximately 50 core range products — examples include but not limited to milk (3 fat levels) in two pack formats, milk alternatives, cream, yoghurt, shell and liquid eggs, sliced bread, rolls and other bakery products. All to be fresh. Approximately 30 core range products — examples include but not limited to beef (mince, steak, diced, joint), pork (minced, chop, diced, joint), lamb (minced, chop, diced, leg), chicken (whole, leg, breast, diced), turkey (mince, crown, breast, diced), sausages (pork plain and with inclusions, Cumberland, chicken). All fresh, priced per kg. Approximately 30 core range products — examples include but not limited to whole and prepared fruit (apples, pineapples, pears), salads, whole and prepared vegetables (carrots, onions, parsnips, tomatoes).
