YPO are looking for Suppliers to be appointed onto a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the supply and distribution of various Food Service categories direct to YPO customers, typically for use in the education sector, NHS, public sector buildings, charitable status organisations such as housing organisations and care homes, care catering, the prison service and sheltered housing within the public sector. The DPS is designed to meet the needs of all public sector organisations which include YPO’s internal requirements and any of YPO’s wholly owned associated or subsidiary companies. The end customer will place the order/s with the Provider and the Provider will deliver direct to the end customer. Lot 1: Category 1 — Groceries For this Category YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a wide range of grocery categories. Categories may include (but are not limited to): — ambient food products, — packaged and tinned goods, — soft drinks and bottled water, including premium products, — confectionery and pre-wrapped snacks, including premium products, — products suitable for making hot beverages. Suppliers should ideally be able to supply a comprehensive range of grocery products covering each product group above. Lot 2: Category 2 — Frozen Food For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of frozen foods. These may include (but are not limited to): — frozen fruit and vegetables, — frozen meat and poultry products, — frozen fish products, — frozen pizza, — frozen bread products, — frozen desserts and ice cream, — other frozen foods. Lot 3: Category 3 — Ready Made Meals For this Category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of ready-made meals suitable for reheating. It is anticipated that meals will be mostly frozen, though fresh meals may be required. These may include (but are not limited to): — ready-made meals (including plated meals), — dietary specific ready meals including ethnic and cultural requirements, — ready-made Inpatient meals, for example modified texture ready meals, — custody suite ready-made meals, — meals suitable for the care sector. Lot 4: Category 4 — Meal Concepts For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of branded meal concepts and street food themed items; these products may also include complementary catering disposables and serving equipment to give a cohesive, brand consistent feel. These may include (but are not limited to): — sauces suitable for combining with cooked pasta, rice or noodles. Pasta, noodles and rice suitable for combining with these sauces, — fillings suitable for combining with wraps, other bread products and jacket potatoes. Wheat based wraps (plain and flavoured) and jacket potatoes (cooked or uncooked) suitable for combining with these fillings, — pizza bases and toppings, — sauces and dressings to complement these foods, — themed serving equipment, catering disposables and accessories to complement these foods. Lot 5: Category 5 - Fresh Fruit and Vegetables For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of fresh fruit and vegetables. These may include (but are not limited to): — fresh fruit, — fresh vegetables, — pre-packed prepared fresh fruit, — pre-packed prepared fresh vegetables. Lot 6: Category 6 — Dairy, Chilled and Delicatessen Foods For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of dairy, chilled and delicatessen foods. These may include (but are not limited to): — milk, — chilled yoghurts, — processed dairy products, — chilled sandwich fillings, — chilled delicatessen products. Lot 7: Category 7 — Fresh and Cooked Meat For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of fresh and cooked meats. These may include (but are not limited to): — fresh and cooked meats, — fresh and cooked poultry, — game, — sausage, — bacon, — processed meat-based items Lot 8: Category 8 — Bakery Goods For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of bakery products and morning goods. These may include (but are not limited to): — fresh bread and bread products, — fresh pastry products, — fresh cakes, cookies, doughnuts, scones, etc., — other products baked fresh, — premium cakes/gateaux suitable for resale. Lot 9: Category 9 - Fresh Ready Made Sandwiches, Wraps and Food to go For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of fresh sandwiches, wraps and food to go. These may include (but are not limited to): — ready-made sandwiches and wraps, — premium sandwich products suitable for resale, — associated bread filled products, — boxed salads, pasta salads, etc., — savouries, etc. Lot 10: Category 10 — Fresh and Chilled Fish and Seafood For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of fresh and chilled fish and seafood products. These may include (but are not limited to): — fresh and chilled salmon, cod and haddock, — other fresh and chilled fish types, — fresh and chilled seafood, — processed fresh and chilled fish-based products e.g. fishcakes. Lot 11: Category 11 — Alcholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages For this category, YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a direct delivery solution across a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and bar equipment. These may include (but are not limited to): — draught lagers, beers, ales and ciders, — bottled lagers, beers, ales and ciders, — wines, — spirits, — non-alcoholic alternatives, soft drinks, bottled water and mixers, — associated bar equipment, e.g. glassware, draught pumps, etc Lot 12: Category 12 — Multiple Product Category Mix Some customers may have requirements for different categories of food products which span across multiple categories, and they may prefer to deal with a single supplier on a one-stop-shop basis. YPO is looking for suppliers who can provide a one-stop-shop service by supplying products in 2 or more of the other 11 Categories which are: — Category 1 Groceries, — Category 2 Frozen Foods, — Category 3 Ready-made Meals, — Category 4 Meal Concepts, — Category 5 Fresh Fruit and Vegetables, — Category 6 Dairy, Chilled and Delicatessen Foods, — Category 7 Fresh and Cooked Meat, — Category 8 Bakery Goods, — Category 9 Fresh Ready-Made Sandwiches, Wraps and Food to go, — Category 10 Fresh and Chilled Fish and Seafood, — Category 11 Alcoholic and Non-alcoholic Beverages and Bar Equipment. This category is suitable for those suppliers who are awarded onto 2 or more categories on the DPS
