Current plans are being designed and developed to expand school place provision across Norfolk to accommodate increasing growth — developing Norfolk’s capacity to meet increasing pupil number demands. This growth will see a mix of new build and extension projects across the County. Norfolk County Council will be seeking to establish a multi supplier Framework Agreement for the provision of dining, office and education furniture into schools in Norfolk. Where the need dictates, the proposed framework may also be used by Norfolk County Council to provide loose furniture in non-educational settings. The proposed procurement will establish a multi supplier framework for the provision of dining, office and education furniture in schools in Norfolk. The bulk of the requirement will be to furnish new build primary schools in Norfolk however, there may be requirements that extend beyond this. The first orders will likely be placed in early August for a project that is due to complete in November 2019. Following on from this project further new build schools are due for completion over the next 2 years with plans afoot for numerous new schools and extensions in the future. Where the need dictates, the proposed framework may also be used by Norfolk County Council to provide loose furniture in non-educational settings.
