Tender description

The establishment of a framework of pre-qualified organisations who have the ability to provide a variety of construction works, principally involving minor building works, structural repairs, roofing, demolition, mechanical and electrical installation and repair works, and fixed wire testing. This framework will be split into specific lots based on the works description. These works could include but are not restricted to: — minor repairs to flat roofs, — recovering flat roofs, — replacement of rainwater goods. It is anticipated that works will be up to the value of 350 000 GBP per individual contract. These works could include but are not restricted to: — minor repairs to pitch roofs, — recovering pitch roofs, — replacement of rainwater goods. Works are anticipated to be up to the value of 350 000 GBP per individual contract These works could include but are not restricted to: — partial demolition, — full demolition, — clearance of a site. Works up to the value of 250 000 GBP per individual contract. These works could include but are not restricted to: — partial asbestos removal within schools (ceilings etc.), — full asbestos strip. All Contractors must hold an asbestos licence issued by the Health and Safety Executive, in accordance with the general requirements in the control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Works are up to the value of 250 000 GBP per individual contract. Works will typically consist of, but are not restricted to, the following areas: Refurbishment works, which could include internal alterations to schools, ceiling replacements in classrooms, refurbishments of multi-level accommodation, alterations to office buildings and other commercial and domestic properties. Extensions, which could include extensions to foster homes, classroom extensions and public and private dwellings. The works will be up to the value of 150 000 GBP per individual contract. Works will typically consist of, but are not restricted to, the following areas: Refurbishment works, which could include internal alterations to schools, ceiling replacements in classrooms, refurbishments of multi-level accommodation, alterations to office buildings and other commercial and domestic properties. Extensions, which could include extensions to foster homes, classroom extensions and public and private dwellings. New build — which could include new classroom blocks and offices. Works value will range between 150 000 GBP and 750 000 GBP per individual project. The typical scope of works will include but are not restricted to concrete repairs, which could include isolated repairs to houses and flats, and strengthening works, which could include reinforcement of retaining walls. It is anticipated that the value of each individual contract will be up to 50 000 GBP per contract. The scope of works is to include, but is not restricted to boiler replacement works, heating and hot water pipework replacements, major heating repairs, installation of ventilation systems, kitchen canopy ventilation and air conditioning installations. It is anticipated that the value of each individual contract will be up to 200 000 GBP per contract. The scope of works is to include but is not restricted to rewires, new lighting schemes, replacement lighting schemes, fire alarm installation, electrical fault diagnosis and repairs, minor electrical repairs, security systems (intruder, CCTV and access controls). It is anticipated that works will be up to the value of 200 000 GBP per individual contract. The works to be included within this lot falls within the legislation for delivering housing adaptations for disabled people, in accordance with Disabled Facilities Grant funding. The works could include extensions to existing structures, bathroom extensions and/or installation works and kitchen extensions. There may also be elements of design and project management.
