Expression of Interest - Internal alterations to Ward 33 at the Radbourne Unit to create new nurse base and interview room

Expression of Interest to be considered for tender list - Based on the Royal Derby Hospital site, the Radbourne Unit is the Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's main inpatient service for residents with acute mental health needs. The Radbourne Unit consists of four adult acute inpatient wards including Ward 33, a first floor, female only ward. The works comprise a) the removal of the existing nurse station desk including associated services and the construction of an interview room and b) the formation of a nurse base taking part of the ward lounge. The ward and Unit will remain fully operational 24/7 during the works programme and tenderers will have to provide evidence of experience of working in a mental health hospital. Working hours may be limited to between the hours of 9.00am - 5.00pm and other working restrictions will be applied whilst ECT therapies are carried out each Monday and Thursday. No lone working of any type will be allowed. All works must be completed before 31 March 2019 and the successful contractor must submit a programme for approval. The Trust's Capital Team has a list of preferred suppliers who are experienced/specialists in the mental health environment and these suppliers will be named for doors, vision panels, glazing and building services including the staff attack alarm system and fire alarm system works.
