Tender description

Rotherham Council is inviting bids from organisations that might be able to meet the Council's current requirements for damp proof remediation works within the Council's public sector housing. The successful contractor will identify damp and timber problems in domestic properties (bungalows, three storey dwellings, semi-detached houses, etc) throughout the Rotherham borough. They will provide detailed reports of findings, recommendations and a quotation for the required works. The contractor will also liaise with tenants to arrange surveys (approximately 400 per annum), appointments and planned works.The items listed below represent typical works undertaken in RMBC housing stock, although this is not an exhaustive list and may be subject to amendments: • Wood preservative treatments (including removal of wood boring insects). • Injecting chemical Damp Proof Course. • Tanking including renewing Damp Proof Membrane. • Liquid waterproofing membrane to internal walls & floors. • Replacing damp infected plasterboard, skirting and floorboards, when affected by the above items.
