GB-Colchester: Advanced Construction Works for Rugby Pitches for CNG

NOTE: This notice was updated on 15 June 2018 for the following reason: The tender return date has been extended by 2 weeks until 12:00 (noon) on Monday 9th July 2018.The purpose of this document is to invite submissions through a Single Stage Tender process to appoint a single contractor to undertake the Advanced Pitch Works at the Colchester Northern Gateway (CNG) Sports Hub. Colchester Borough Council (the Council) is procuring Rugby Pitch design and construction services to safeguard the delivery of the turf pitches proposed at the Colchester Northern Gateway Sports Hub - plots 2 and 3. The successful contractor will be engaged to construct 4 no. turf rugby pitches, including associated ground groundworks, drainage, topsoil laying, seeding and cultivation. The contractor will also be required to construct enabling works including an access road (including substantial civil works), temporary roads, fencing other pitch infrastructure. The contractor will be required to deliver within a short timescale and be cognisant of ecological and archaeological requirements across the site.
