16/19 Refurbishment and Extension of Tamworth Assembly Rooms

Tender description

Tamworth Assembly Rooms received Heritage Lottery Fund development phase funding allowing Tamworth Borough Council's Arts and Events Team to work with a design team to create exciting and ambitious plans for the building up to RIBA stage 3. The Council now seeks a contractor to undertake the refurbishment and extension works required on the site. The selected contractors will be expected to demonstrate an understanding and experience of working with heritage planning officers for discharge conditions and archaeologists etc, and competence to adequately resource and skill their team to suitably programme and resource works to listed fabric. Examples of specialist works required on this project include proscenium arch repairs, existing window/door alterations, and the joinery resetting to the hall.
