Tender description

The Council owns or works on an extensive portfolio of public and operational buildings, as well as housing which needs to be maintained. Although the Council has an in-house team of construction operatives, there are times where we need to supplement this. The Council is seeking to establish a DPS (modern day approved list) of suppliers who are able to respond quickly and deliver an excellent, cost effective service. The DPS is split into a number of Lots. This contract does not permit subcontracting of the key element e.g. Lot one suppliers cannot subcontract of the key element of the lot — e.g. electrical work. Any subcontracting that is required must be with written approval. Electrical works — repairs and installs, testing (to be called off as 6 monthly arrangements). Plumbing works — repairs and installs (to be called off as 6 monthly arrangements). Flood control works. Drainage clearance (to be called off as 6 monthly arrangements). Drainage surveys and clearance 1, pipe work less than 150 mm diameter. Drainage surveys and clearance 2, pipe work in excess of 150 mm diameter. Gas Heating works — repairs and installs, commercial and residential. Eco-installers — solar panels, heat pumps, VSD drivers etc. — install and maintenance. Oil Heating — repairs and installs. Air heat pumps — repairs and installs. Plastering. Decorating. Brickwork/ minor construction — shed bases etc. Ground works — site clearance, concrete pads and bases. Demolition and site clearance. Fencing — security fencing, site/ property hoarding, window boarding. Concrete/ tarmac works (including materials). Carpentry — first fix, second fix, general, kitchen fitters. Roofing 1 — flat roofs including guttering / roof-lights / fascia and soffits. Roofing 2 — pitched roofs including guttering / roof-lights / fascia and soffits. Glaziers — supply and fit. Locksmiths — (to be called off as 6 monthly arrangements). Skips — supply only (to be called off as 6 monthly arrangements).
