Fingal County Council - County Hall, Swords - New Entrance Lobby with Associated Siteworks (Phase 3) as Part of the Atrium Reorganisation

A new entrance is to be constructed to the existing Fingal County Hall in Swords (Phase 3), with associated external site works. This work follows on from the recent reorganisation of the ground floor atrium (Phase 1 & 2). The new Phase 3 works will incorporate the requirement for a Specialist Façade Sub-Contractor.The proposal is for a new steel framed glass entrance lobby with an inner lobby to take up one pane of glass at the existing curved glass façade positioned opposite the new Customer Service desk. The outer lobby will house 2 no. external sliding doors for entrance/exit from both sides of the building frontage with 1 no. sliding door at the inner lobby with air curtain over to prevent heat loss. The external area beyond the new glass lobby will be paved to provide a landscaped public space. The phase 3 works will be carried out in 2 sub-phases - Phase 3A & 3B - and will involve constructing a new entrance lobby in front of the glass façade of Fingal County Hall as part of phase 3A works. The existing revolving doors will be removed and a glass pane replaced in this position as part of phase 3B works. Phase 3A is to be fully completed and operational prior to the removal of the existing main entrance revolving doors located at Phase 3B.
