Tender description

The Contracting Authority was formed in December 2014 from four leading housing associations: Oaklee; Trinity; Ulidia and Open Door Housing. It wants to continue to build on the success of the legacy associations and provide an even better service offering for its customers and stakeholders. The new Choice brand will aspire to develop excellent customer services and its new brand essence ‘Working together for positive change’ will help it to build strong relationships with its customer groups and forums to share new ideas and innovations in service delivery. The estimated fee value, excluding VAT, of the Works is in the cost range of 1 000 000 GBP — 25 000 000 GBP. Due to the nature of the Contract, it is difficult for the Contracting Authority to estimate the value of this opportunity; therefore this value is an estimate only. The Contracting Authority seeks land in the following area: Derry / Londonderry. In the interests of providing an efficient housing management service, the Contracting Authority will not consider Sites which provide less than 10 units or more than 200 units. The units can be delivered over a number of Sites or on one Site. However, the Contracting Authority will not consider any one Site that provides less than 10 units. The Contract is for the provision of land for design and build contracts in Northern Ireland. Economic Operators must provide the land, design, construct and ensure completion of the scheme for the Contracting Authority in accordance with, in relation to social housing, the Department for Communities Housing Guide, the Contracting Authority's requirements and statutory body requirements. The Contracting Authority requires Economic Operators to put forward schemes which offer a high quality development social housing. A key requirement of the PQQ stage is the suitability of the Economic Operators' Sites for the development of social housing. The estimated fee value, excluding VAT, of the Works is in the cost range of 1 000 000 GBP — 25 000 000 GBP. Due to the nature of the Contract, it is difficult for the Contracting Authority to estimate the value of this opportunity; therefore this value is an estimate only. An estimated contract duration of 12 months has been provided based on the minimum 10 units.
