Refurbishment of 1 and 3 Faringdon Road, Swindon

Tender description

Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the refurbishment of 1 and 3 Faringdon Road, Swindon. This is a restricted tender where bidder are required to pre-qualify to tender by completing and submitting the Selection Questionnaire by 1200hrs, UK Local Time 23/05/2017. Swindon Borough Council will evaluate the Selection Questionnaire and shortlist 5 suitably qualified bidders who will be invited to tender for the refurbishment of 1 and 3 Faringdon Road, Swindon. A draft ITT, which may be subject to minor changes, will be issued with the Selection Questionnaire for information about the works only, you are not required to complete the ITT at this stage. The formal ITT will be issued to the short listed suitably qualified bidders. Project Description A development that sees existing commercial premises converted to 8 residential units on the upper floors and part ground floor with a retained commercial area on the ground floor frontage. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the documents. Contract Period The contract will be initially for a period of 20 weeks commencing 14th August 2017. The relevant documents are included within this project webpage as attachments. Selection Questionnaire Responses are required to be submitted no later than 23rd May 2017, 1200hrs UK Local Time as described in the SQ document. If you require any clarifications on the Selection Questionnaire please submit these in writing via e-mail, including the project name clearly in the e-mail title, to Douglas Kerrigan at dougkerrigan@forwardswindon.co.uk by 1700hrs UK Local Time, 16th May 2017. The Council’s responses to these clarification questions will be uploaded as attachments on the project webpage attachments section. Therefore it is the Contractor’s responsibility to check the site regularly for updates to clarifications, as you will not be advised when updates have been made.
