Highways England is changing the way it provides current maintenance across a number of regions within England. Highways England is looking at procuring a series of new contracts, directly with the supply chain (including SMEs), that provides specialist services such as technical surveys and testing required to maintain our asset. Regions requiring these services are located within the North East/North West (Area 13 and 14), East Midlands (Area 7) and Devon/Cornwall (Areas 1 and 2). The efficient maintenance of the asset will rely upon Highways England being able to quickly procure the investigatory work needed to determine and test asset condition. Services required will include (but is not limited to), relatively low risk, low value services such as; pavement surveys, drainage surveys and materials testing. The scope and details relating to the requirements of this procurement exercise will be contained within a supplier briefing pack, that can be obtained after registering your company details upon the e-sourcing portal ‘BRAVO’. https://highways.bravosolution.co.uk Therefore the first stage of the process is for interested suppliers to register their details upon the e-sourcing portal and by accessing the required ‘Registration Documentation’ contained within the ITT ‘National Technical Surveys and Testing Supplier Registration Process’ Completed ‘Registration Documents’ are required to be uploaded (alongside any additional evidence) requested by noon 16.5.2017. Submissions will be assessed for suitability based on criteria required as expressed within the Registration documents. All suppliers will be expected to receive a response back from Highways England from July 2017 onwards.
