Tender description

Demolition of 2 existing portal frame storage buildings and associated garage buildings. Construction of a new 2-storey training building (Education/Administrative) with attached 3 double bay vehicle garage and covered wash. Provision of Fire Behaviour simulation training buildings, training towers, search and rescue facilities, garage facility, training yard, training culvert, HGV training roadway, external works and car parking for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service (DFRS). Construction of a new Training building for Derbyshire Constabulary linked to DFRS Training building including external works, car parking and provision of Biomass plant to serve both buildings. Form of Contract: JCT Design & Build (DB) 2011 Edition Employers schedule of amendments to JCT DB 2011 The contract is to be executed as a deed. A parent company guarantee will be required. A performance bond will be required. The Criteria for assessing the tender are: — Price, — Compliance of Contractors Proposals with Employers Requirements, — Quality and Suitability of Contractors Proposals, — Examination and correction of priced document — Alternative (1 or 2) will apply. The successful bidder will be required to have the employers sub-consultants novated to them. These include the Design Consultant/Principal Designer (Focus Consultants LLP) and Structural/Civil Engineer (BSP Consulting). The form of novation agreement and collateral warranties shall be provided by the authority.
