Tender description

The purpose of this notice is to make known a meet the buyer event to launch a forthcoming procurement process to appoint a Contractor for the delivery of major alterations and refurbishment works to Solihull Council House. It will take place on Wednesday, 8.6.2016 whilst a restricted procedure procurement process is scheduled to start shortly before this date and will be publicised via an OJEU Contract Notice. The event will consist of a presentation on the scheme itself followed by short presentations and/or consultation from the client team and stakeholders. The alteration and refurbishment works are to provide open plan office space, including strip out and replacement of services throughout and provision of ground source heat pumps within a newly formed atrium, new active facades and external works. The scheme will also include audio visual technology, fixed furniture and ICT infrastructure. This construction phase of the overall works is programmed to commence in December 2016 and complete in August 2018. An element of these works may be part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
