Insourcing of Clinical Services

The Insourcing of Clinical Services framework agreement supports the use of insourcing support services across the NHS, enabling Trusts to reduce their expenditure, secure additional clinical capacity and help meet increasing demand. This short to medium term solution allows Trusts to retain capacity planning in-house and ensures that patients can be seen within the Trust. These support services are procured based on the required service output. By utilising an insourced provider trusts can manage the cost of services or treatments by utilising the facilities, technology, and equipment already available within the trust. Insourcing suppliers offer services to trusts at or below the NHS tariff rate. This enables trusts to continue providing care to patients, reducing patient waiting lists whilst also saving trust money in the long term.
