AWS Tenders and Contracts

Search live procurement portals for AWS-specific notices, or work earlier: on Stotles you can see which buyers are running Amazon Web Services already, track upcoming framework renewals, and read the strategy documents behind a migration before it reaches tender. Most AWS work reaches the market through an existing framework rather than a fresh open competition, so knowing who is already on AWS is often more useful than watching for a new notice.

Mostly through call-offs rather than standalone tenders. G-Cloud is the common route for hosting, support and reseller services, and many awards are extensions or additional lots against an existing agreement rather than a new competition. Open tenders do appear for larger migration or managed-service programmes, but they are the exception rather than the rule.

381 of the 687 AWS notices tracked to date have reached award. The rest are a mix of closed competitions, pre-tender activity and a small number open now, reflecting how much of this spend moves through existing frameworks rather than public advertisement.

AWS work is filed under broad IT services codes rather than a cloud-specific one: CPV 72000000 (IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support) and 48000000 (Software package and information systems) are the two most common in the sample. Neither is unique to AWS, so the keyword filter, not the CPV code, does the real work of separating AWS notices from the rest of the IT category.
