TC01455 Harwich International Port New HV Route and Substation

Tender description

The Harwich site is located within Harwich International Port and is adjacent to the proposed 122-hectare Bathside Bay development. To facilitate the delivery of proposed Bathside Bay development, Harwich International Port Limited requires a new primary substation and associated 11kV incoming cable routes from the existing substation at Parkeston Quay (MPAN 1014571032912). UKPN is the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for this area. The Port has accepted formal offer of an import capacity of 10 MVA(including existing 1.4MVA capacity from Dovercourt substation) for these works from UKPN. As part of works, upgrade of existing 11kV cable network between existing UKPN Dovercourt substation and Port’s Parkeston Quay substation is required Keywords: 11KV Cables
