TC01454 Port of Felixstowe New HV Route and Substation

Tender description

The Freeport East Felixstowe site is a 31-hectare area located within the Port of Felixstowe. The site includes an area approved for development as a logistics park comprising two brownfieldparcels which lie wholly within the Port boundary to the west and east of Dock Road. To facilitate the delivery of new logistics park, the Port of Felixstowe requires a new primary substation and associated 33kV incoming cable routes from the existing UKPN (UK Power Networks Services Ltd) substation (0G1005) at Parker Avenue. UKPN is the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for this area. The Port has accepted formal offer of an import capacity of 40MVAfor these works from UKPN. The Port would also require spare ducts for the 11kV outgoing infrastructure along the Dock Road to serve the proposed logistics park. Keywords: Substation, 33kV and 11kV Cables
