Former House of Fraser Refurbishment Works

North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (The Employer) has secured two key grants to look at improving the frontage of the Former House of Fraser(FHoF) premises located in Victoria Street in Grimsby North East Lincolnshire. The “Window to 1913: Restoring 9-29 Victoria Street, Grimsby” project, has been awarded a project development grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and a development grant from Historic England. This will fund a conservation architect and other heritage specialists to work with the Employer to prepare key documentation that will form the basis for future funding bids to allow the improvement works, and programme of engagement activities, to be carried out in 2026 and 2027. The Employer seeks to appoint one Contractor to undertake the design, construction and completion of the Internal Ground Floor refurbishment works FHoF building to provide a shell to support future tenant(s) to commence their fit out. The Employer is in the process of has submitting an additional funding bid to seek additional heritage grant funding to undertake additional External Building Works. If the Employer is successful, a modification of contract will be undertaken to the contract let to the Principal Contractor for the Internal Ground Floor refurbishment works.
