Playground and "Learn to Ride" Cycle Area Design and Build for site at Carrigduff, Bunclody, Co. Wexford.

Tender description

The scope of works is for the Design, Supply and Installation of the Playground and ‘Learn to Ride’ Cycle Area Provision of design and layout drawings for a proposed new Playground and ‘Learn to Ride’ Cycle Area at Carrigduff, Bunclody, Co. Wexford including perspectives and revised drawings based on a design specific risk assessment. Itemised pricing document to allow both parties to identify costs associated with each element of the design submitted. The pricing document should include a cost for each item of play equipment proposed. The provision of construction drawings for all civil and drainage works to be undertaken. Drainage, as required to ensure surface water/rainwater is discharged from the areas. Full works including ground works, civil engineering works, landscaping and site enclosures. Supply and installation of play equipment in compliance with BSEN 1176. Supply and installation of safety surface to the required depths and in compliance with BSEN 1177. Supply and installation of ancillary works including bins, benches, fencing, signage etc. may be required. Surfacing should be tested to BSEN 1177 and certification supplied to the Council. The surface should be firm and non-slip with impact attenuating properties, thickness and extent, consistent with the height of the equipment to give acceptable Head Injury Criteria readings when tested. Supply and install signage indicating ‘Age’ use of the equipment. A Design Risk Assessment must be included with tender submissions. Signage must include emergency contact details, opening hours if required and age specific information for each piece of play equipment, as well as the Carlow County Council and Local Development Group logo. The winning tenderer will fulfill the roles of PSDP and PSCS. Final design to be agreed on award of contract.
