NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACT PACKAGE A47 Blofield to North Burlingham Dualling: Galliford Try are delivering the A47 Blofield to North Burlingham Dualling project in the county of Norfolk on behalf of National Highways. The project will replace the existing single-lane section of the A47 between Blofield and North Burlingham with a new two-lane dual carriageway 70m South of the existing road length and is 5km in length including safety improvements to the existing junctions. Package: SHEET PILING FOR EMBEDDED WALLS Outline Scope of Works: Supply and install approximately 120 m LONG KING SHEET PILE WALL linear meters of AZ 28-700 KING and AZ 12-770 INTERMEDIATE SHEET PILE, length of sheet piles are approximately 12 m and 4 m. Sheet piles will require pre-augering up to 40-50% of total pile depth to ensure no obstacles present from old road construction. 300 dia. at clutch locations only. Provide vibration and noise monitoring for above works. Provision for alteration of capping beam to allow installation of posts (for future noise barrier) Noise barrier mounted on sheet pile retaining wall, attached via a bolted connection at king sheet piles. bolt head to be orientated on the buried face and tack welded to the sheet pile to allow the nut to be undone on the exposed face in the future. Bolt heads to be sealed in bituminous emulsion to prevent possible degradation of the welds over time. Full details and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of this project and should assess their internal capabilities to be able to carry out the intended scope of works, prior to completing this expression of interest (EOI). All interested contractors should hold all the relevant certification, qualifications and experience of providing this type of work. Programme: It is anticipated that the above scope of works will commence in October 2025 Timing: Deadline for Notifications of Interest 17:30 hrs on 21st February 2025.
