Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services - Coventry & Warwickshire ICB

Tender description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU, on behalf of NHS Coventry & Warwickshire ICB are inviting suitably experienced and qualified providers to submit tenders for the provision of a Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS). The contract is intended to run for an initial period of 5 years from 1st April 2027 with an option for the contract to be extended for up to a further 5 years. The annual contract value is anticipated to be £8,642,443. Bidders are required to express an interest and submit tenders via the Atamis Health Family e-tendering system. The NEPTS service will operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year (366 days in a leap year). The Provider must work closely with acute, mental health and community healthcare settings to align the NEPT capacity and patient attendance patterns. The Provider will undertake patient transport journeys to and from health care facilities commissioned by the ICB that are: • Within the boundary of Coventry & Warwickshire. (To note this may include a small number of journeys above 50 miles for example Ellen Badger Hospital in Shipston-on-Stour to/ from homes in the furthest north of Warwickshire.) • Within 50 miles of the border Coventry & Warwickshire (To note 50 mile is measured for a one way and does not include the return journey. Journeys to and from healthcare facilities located outside of the above coverage criteria will be classified as Extra Contractual Journeys (ECJ) and will be reimbursed to the Provider at the agreed ECJ rate per mile
