Aston is seeking to procure waste management services for the following services and have been split into lots detailed below: 1. Core Waste Collections: • General Waste • Dry Mixed Recyclables • Food Waste • Paper and Cardboard • Glass Waste • Green Waste 2. Hazardous, Chemical and Radioactive Waste • Chemical Waste (solvents, liquids and solids, including persistant organic pollutants) • Biohazardous waste (inc. materials related to the Human Tissue Act, genetically modified materials and animal related materials) • Various laboratory filters (ie, air and water filters). • Radioactive waste • Glass (laboratory) • Plastics (laboratory) • Hazardous Waste (outside of waste streams already specified) 3. Supplementary/Special Waste Collections: • Wood Waste • Metal Waste • Hardcore • Workshop and Grounds Maintenance Waste • Batteries • Fluorescent Bulbs/LEDs • Aerosol/Pressurised containers • Paint and Varnishes • Non-specialist Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste • Refrigeration Equipment • Engine Oils and machinery lubricants • Confidential Wastepaper 4.
