Tender description
Upland path improvements and repairs to the popular Criffel core path located a few miles south of Dumfries. Dumfries and Galloway Council require upland path construction specialists to undertake repairs to the aggregate surfacing of the path and construct additional upland path stone features to improve the shedding of water from the path surface. The stone built upland path structures required include the construction of additional stone pitched steps, stone built anchor bars, stone built water bars, and stone lined cross drains. All granite stone and aggregate will have to transported to the site. Helicopter haulage is considered the most effective way of transporting materials and also is the least damaging to the sensitive upland habitat.
