TENDER FOR TOWN CENTRE PUBLIC REALM WORKS (RETFORD AND WORKSOP) FOR BASSETLAW DISTRICT COUNCIL

Tender description

The Council wishes to invite tenders for the supply of works in respect of the execution of a range of one-off public realm works across Retford and Worksop town centres. Most of the requested works focus on the replacement and installation of various items of street furniture (Retford and Worksop), alongside repainting of numerous items of other furniture (specific to Retford).\r \r The objectives of this contract are:\r • Replacement and installation of 25 bins in Retford Town Centre\r • Refurbishment of 3 cast iron bins currently in-situ in the Market Place\r • Replacement and installation of 27 Georgian-style seats and 7 Georgian-style benches in Retford Town Centre\r • Repair of 3 benches (only new slats needed - benches are attached on top of a wall)\r • Replacement and installation of 14 traditional fingerpost signs in Retford Town Centre\r • Repainting of various items of street furniture in Retford Town Centre\r • Various improvements to Retford Market\r • Replacement and installation of 30 bins in Worksop\r • Various improvements to Worksop Market\r \r Further information on the requirement and relevant performance standards are available within the Specification.\r \r The anticipated contract commencement date is March 2025.\r \r The Council proposes to enter one contract for an initial period of 3 months with the preferred supplier with an option to extend dependent on potential changes to funding guidelines. \r \r The budget for this contract is £200,000 in its entirety (exclusive of VAT).
